It's boiling and so is our stress level. While production and shipping are a breeze, sampling is a blazing... time is the enemy... never understood deadlines, everyday is a deadline in fashion :)

It's a fortunate thing that the sun is out, we need the light to shoot all the new spring looks for our linesheets, run crazy errands, and keep our minds sane!!! S.O.S! We are also so lucky to have many fashionable visitors everyday :)

4 days of rain have been keeping us indoors and working like maniacs. Between production, sampling, and shipping we are just not as fashionable as we need to be! Today was another gloomy weather day in the city but inside the office things were bustling. We are finalising the stunning new Spring 2011 collection to make its debut in the showroom! We also had a visitor today, Micaela, who works with celeb stylist Annabel Tollman!

On this lovely Friday afternoon Julie and Leanne began dressing the mannequin (with awesomely un-human proportions) in the recently created Spring collection samples and photographing the clothing. It's been said a million different ways on this blog, but to re-iterate... this line is covetous!

Here comes the sun! - If you've been in the city the past few days you'll understand our excitement. It's a beautiful day in the big apple. The spring collection samples are turning out incredibly! They come in and we can't help, but try some on... a fashionista will be a fashionista!

Gray and hot... ick, that's the weather here in New York.

Today there was more recent Kara Janx vintage picked up from the old PR firm. They had a surprisingly large amount of clothing which turned out to be great fun to sort through. Maybe not as entertaining as the Kara Janx originals, but still a good time.

Kara came to work with her handsome baby boy. He's constantly giggling and saying "wow." It's wonderful having someone filled with so much amazement in the office, he brings a wonderful energy with him! ... and my oh my, what a cutie!

Build a Beautiful Scarf Bow!

Julie has so many fun little tricks up her sleeve, we can't even keep track. Here is a video of her making a square scarf into a decorative poof. The size scarf she uses in the video could create a fun belt. Julie came in one day wearing a scarf tied like so on her head, this was a much smaller scarf however...
